King of Philippine Late Night Shows, Jojo Alejar had an advanced birthday celebration on June 15 when he boarded the Wish 107.5 Bus and brought the listeners back to the music of the 80s.

Fondly known as Jojo A, the veteran actor-comedian sang his own renditions of Queen’s “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” and Paul Anka’s “Think I’m In Love Again.”

Jojo A, who is a founding member of the popular Filipino dance group “The Tigers,” said that he feels blessed to have seen how the music industry have evolved throughout the years.

“When you get to this age, you are a combination of everything — you have Frank Sinatra who is now known to be Michael Buble to the younger set, and you have Michael Jackson who to the younger set now would probably be Bruno Mars,” he remarked.

Though his Roadshow guesting was fun-filled, he was able to share his birthday wish on a more serious note.

“Material things don’t matter much anymore,” he said, adding that what he wishes right now is “good health for and more time with his family.”

“I have never imagined the joy of having a family could bring,” he further shared, adding that his wife and children are the best gifts he has received.

Last June 18, he staged his birthday concert, “The Medyo Golden Show,” which featured a roster of very cool performances from Arthur Manuntag, Richard Reynoso, Ernie Garcia and The Tigers.

The King of Philippine Late Night Show turned 50 on June 19.
