Glaiza De Castro: ‘Synthesis’ is a mixture of my music influences

Dec 30, 2016

It was a wish granted for multi-talented singer/actress Glaiza De Castro, who confessed that she has been watching WISHclusive performances uploaded on the Wish 107.5 YouTube Channel, when she hopped on the Wish 107.5 for the first time on December 15.

During the Roadshow, she promoted her certified gold album, “Synthesis,” and performed one of its cuts, “Sa’yo Pa Rin,” and a cover of “Bizarre Love Triangle.”

According to Glaiza, “Synthesis” is a mixture of different music genres that influenced her throughout the years. This eight-track record serves as her third album after she released “Magbalik Ka” (2001) and “Glaiza” (2006).

First launched in April 2015, the fittingly-titled effort showcases her versatility as an artist — she writes good lyrics, she sings with captivating appeal, and she has the makings of being a great record producer (she self-produced this project).

In a previous interview, she shared that “Synthesis is a sharing of [her] world and [she] hopes that people will learn to appreciate it for what it is.”

The album features the tracks “Country Tree,” “Makataruok,” “Memo,” “Dusk ’til Dawn,” “Pag-ikot,” and the Angelica Panganiban-penned “Waiting Shed” and “Barcelona.”
