Leaving the comforts of the Wish 107.5 Booth in Quezon City, DJ Alice boarded the Wish Bus on Monday, May 21, and travelled some 20 kilometers to bring her program, “The Wonderland” to Pasay City where special guests are waiting to give Wishers a taste of their upcoming show in Resorts World Manila.

Grammy-nominee Stephen Bishop, who is co-headlining the latest leg of the “Love Rocks” concert series at the Newport Performing Arts Theater on Tuesday, May 22, performed a snippet of “Separate Lives” together with tourmate, Filipina singer Melissa.

He did a recording of his self-penned ballad, which was originally popularized by music stars Phil Collins and Marilyn Martin, in 1985. The revered artist is also recognized for his timeless hits, “It Might Be You,” “On and On,” and “Something New In My Life.”

Meanwhile, the show’s host and mainstay performer, international singer J. Michaels, and Melissa delivered an emotional rendition of “I.O.U.,” a crossover hit for American country star Lee Greenwood.

“Love Rocks is an ongoing series of concerts. I host each show and I have different guests. Last February, I had Peabo Bryson and Jenine Desiderio,” Michaels shared during his radio interview.

“Coming up this Tuesday at Resorts World we have none other than Stephen Bishop, who has a phenomenal following here in the Philippines, and son of legendary R&B/soul act Jackie Wilson, Mr. Bobby Wilson. He will be doing all his tunes as well…We’re going to have a lot of fun and put on a great show,” he added.

Soul singer Wilson is known for “Lonely Teardrops” and “Your Love Has Lifted Me Higher.”

Michaels, who recorded “Wildflower,” also revealed that apart from singing their own songs, they will also be “doing a tribute to The Beatles.” The iconic band is considered as Bishop’s biggest inspiration and musical influence.

Meanwhile, sharing a few words about his Wish Bus experience, Bishop exclaimed, “This is a first! I’ve never seen a radio station on a bus.”

The “It Might Be You” singer also expressed thanks to his Filipino fans who keep on supporting his music, citing that this is the very reason why he loves to come back to the country.

“Love Rocks” also features OPM artists Richard Merk, Milet Abrenica and Janis Cagara.
