Silent Sanctuary and Leanne and Naara Headline ‘Two-of-a-Kind Digital Concert’

Mar 12, 2021

On March 7, 2021, music-lovers and tech-savvy Wishers virtually gathered on the country’s leading FM YouTube channel to watch the “Two-of-a-Kind Digital Concert” presented by Wish 107.5 and innovative tech giant, LG Philippines.

Hosted by DJ Jenie of the Moonlight Wishes, the digital concert featured performances from OPM rock troupe Silent Sanctuary and soul duo Leanne and Naara. The event also highlighted two of LG Philippines’ latest offerings — LG TONE Free Earbuds and LG OLED TV.

Back-to-back performances

Starting the concert on a sweet and soothing note are Leanne and Naara who played “Till The Morning Comes,” a track off their 2020 Daybreak album, along with their band. The upbeat number was then followed by one of their most-streamed songs, “Again.”

Apart from rendering their well-loved spin to the heartbreak anthem, “Someday,” and one of their 2020 releases titled “Too Soon,” the duo also breathed life to a Joey Albert classic, “Points of View,” and Odette Quesada’s timeless hit, “To Love Again.”

“We’re happy to be able to perform our songs from our new album, ‘Daybreak,’ and we’re happy to be back,” Leanne Mamonong gushed in a short interview with DJ Jenie in between their performances.

Meanwhile, rock outfit Silent Sanctuary performed a sweep of their romantic originals such as “Ikaw Lamang,” “Sa ‘Yo,” “Hiling,” “Rebound,” “Kundiman,” and ended the show with their head-bopping “Bumailk Ka Na Sa ‘Kin.”

In an interview with DJ Jenie during the concert, the band admitted that they were ecstatic to be performing aboard the Wish Bus again after months of being in lockdown, “We’ve missed performing on the Wish Bus and just the intimate experience it brings. We hope that this will mark the start of gigs in the Philippines during the pandemic. Thank you, Wish, because this is one of the first platforms where artists can perform live. LG, thank you so much for inviting us,” Silent Sanctuary frontman Sarkie Sarangay shared.

The musical performances from the talented OPM acts, which garnered over 78,000 total live viewers, emanated from the country’s two Wish Buses.
