WATCH: John Mayer rocks 2016 Emmy Awards, plays with ceremony’s house band

Singer-songwriter John Mayer surprised the attendees and viewers of the 2016 Emmy Awards with an awesome jamming session with the ceremony’s house band, playing from a pit in the Microsoft Theater stage in Los Angeles last Sunday.

Showing off his exceptional talent in slaying guitar riffs, Mayer was joined by remarkable musicians Ray Parker Jr. the writer of the Ghostbusters theme song, and drummer Steve Jordan who is also a part of the John Mayer trio for a great musical night.

Mayer fans will surely cherish the opportune moment to watch him rock on with his guitar during such prestigious occasion.Several clips of the jamming session were also posted on the singer’s Snapchat — one of which gives a hint about the next album he is currently working on with the John Mayer trio.

Prior to his Emmys appearance, Mayer made the rounds online with the 10th anniversary celebration of Continuum, his third studio album featuring hits such as Gravity and Slow Dancing in a Burning Room, last week.
