Wish 107.5 Celebrates Four Years of Music and Love with ‘Wish 4 Love’ Anniversary Party

Sep 1, 2018

Wish 107.5 staged its fourth anniversary celebration titled “Wish 4 Love” and brought a star-studded music festivity to the BGC Arts Center on August 30, Thursday.

The event, which ran for about three and a half hours, kicked off at 5 o’clock in the afternoon and featured on-stage and Wish Bus performances from singer-actress Karylle, versatile OPM act Bugoy Drilon, and R&B crooners Daryl Ong and Kris Lawrence.

Performing for the first time inside the Wish Bus, Karylle Yuzon gives the feels as she sings her latest single “I Love Ya” launched this year.

Breathing life to love anthems, the revelry also had rock band Plethora, vocal trio Bradz, rising singer Mela, and up-and-coming divas Princess Sevillena, Kimberly Baluzo, Louie Anne Culala, Carmela Ariola, and Ace Bartolome as special guests.

Hip-hop and rap acts Abra, Loonie, and Ex Battalion further elevated the mood of the anniversary bash.

Four Years and Beyond

“Wish 4 Love” is the FM radio station’s way of celebrating the past fours years filled with love and music.

Wish 107.5 DJs serve as the event’s hosts, giving the audience an extraordinary fourth year anniversary experience at the ultra-modern Maybank Ampitheatre, BGC Arts Center.

“Even though time went by swiftly, the four years that passed was filled with love…and we can all say that it’s all about wishes coming true,” BMPI President and CEO Kuya Daniel Razon remarked in his speech during a separate, exclusive event for stakeholders held on the same day at the Maybank Theatre.

“It all started of course with a simple wish and a fervent prayer. In the beginning, we were creating what we want as your coolest musical experience,” the Wish 107.5 innovator said, referring to the Wish 107.5 Bus.

“Our wish started coming true when our Wishers and our listeners saw the Wish Bus as a unifying platform for artists, music, and fans, bringing everyone natural yet remarkable live performances.

But after these “Wishclusive” performances have already gathered over one billion hits on YouTube and paved the way for Wish to amass more than 3 million subscribers, Kuya Daniel sees no reason in stopping the fulfillment of his humble wish from turning into a long-standing commitment.

Kuya Daniel Razon, the man behind the innovations pioneered by Wish 107.5, shared his plans of bringing Filipino music to the world during the Wish 4 Love anniversary party held at the Maybank Theatre in BGC, Taguig City on August 30, 2018.

“Along the course of four years, this amazing journey has taken us to many other different places. This coming September, in the other side of the world, a similar Wish Bus will be making its maiden trip along the streets of Hollywood,” Kuya Daniel revealed.

“We feel that another Wish Bus in Hollywood will fortify Filipino presence in that city, where all great things in music thrive, and where most dreams to be global come true. I have seen how great Filipinos are in music. And this ardent belief drives me to further the cause of Filipino music.”

The new Wish Bus is set to be unveiled on September 7 in the US (September 8 in the Philippines) at the Universal CityWalk Hollywood.

Apart from the US counterpart of the popular radio mobile, Kuya Daniel also shared that a second Wish Bus in the Philippines is currently in the works.

“After the launch in Hollywood, a second Wish Bus here will be treading the ways of Metro Manila and nearby provinces. And with that, we offer the music arena another platform where our local artists all around the country will have the opportunity to showcase their talent and get connected to our more than three million Wishers.”

Other projects that Wishers can look forward to is the premiere of Wishcovery Season 2 and the 4th Wish 107.5 Music Awards.
