Wish 107.5 Earns Nod for ‘Innovative FM Radio Broadcasting’

Apr 24, 2017

Wish 107.5, the radio station that launched the Philippines’ one and only FM-on-wheels, earned a recognition for its “innovative FM radio broadcasting” during the 2017 Platinum Stallion Media Awards.

The event, organized by the Trinity University of Asia (TUA), was held last April 22 at the TUA University Theater in Quezon City.

The winners of the awarding ceremony were chosen by the university’s community, including its stakeholders, students, alumni and faculty members.

“Thank you, Trinity University of Asia / Platinum Stallion Media Awards for this recognition! We promise to continue to innovate radio broadcasting and to promote OPM. We are humbled and inspired to do better in our craft,” DJ Alice, one of the Wish jocks who attended the event, shared.

Apart from the Wish 107,5 Bus, which serves as a vehicle that transports music to people in a truly unique and creative way, the station is also known for other innovative endeavors. This includes strengthening its digital platforms to help put homegrown talents to the global spotlight. As of writing, the Wish 107. YouTube Channel has already reached over 1.2 million subscribers and nearly 400 million cumulative views.

Wish is also known for its music awards, whose sophomore season was successfully held earlier in January this year. The 2nd Wish 107.5 Music Awards was aptly themed, “Your WISHclusive Gateway to the World.”

Its other projects that aim to enliven the local music scene are OPM Spotlight, a weekly special segment that features budding Filipino artists, and ASOP (A Song of Praise) on Wishful Sunday, which caters to locally-produced praise and gospel songs.

Wish 107.5 also stays true to its name with the wish-granting advocacy it has been sustaining for over two years now. Some of the wishes that were granted include a trip to an amusement park, birthday and wedding anniversary celebration packages, as well as school and medical supplies.
