Less than three weeks before the semi-final round of Wishcovery kicks off, the Wishful 20 of Wish 107.5’s online singing competition reunited to perform in a benefit concert titled “Beyond Music and Lyrics” held on November 28 at Okada Manila.
The said event was in celebration of Kuya Daniel Razon’s 34th anniversary in public service. He is the President and CEO of Breakthrough and Milestones Productions International, the company that provides for and manages the content of Wish 107.5.
The singing hopefuls donned 70’s-themed retro outfits and staged a medley of hit songs from the musical rom-com film, “Grease.” The Wishfuls did not only showcase their vocal chops as they also showed off some grooves, performing “Greased Lightning,” “Summer Nights,” and “You’re The One That I Want.”
Apart from this, they further did a hark back of sorts as they delivered songs they have previously performed during the first rounds of Wishcovery.

The semi-finals for the competition is slated to begin in December 17. The round will feature a head-to-head vocal showdown among the top 8 contenders.
Currently, four slots have already been given to Wishfuls Louie Anne Culala, Kimberly Baluzo, Carmela Ariola and Danielle Joshua Supnet. The remaining four will be determined come December 2 and 9, respectively.
Meanwhile, frequent Wish 107.5 guest artists — Morissette, Bugoy Drilon and Jason Dy — also graced the occasion.
The three thrilled the crowd with songs that have been associated with them after performing them on the Wish Bus. Morissette sang “Secret Love Song,” Drilon inspired with his take on “One Day,” while Dy crooned to “Stay With Me.”
“We thank you so much for the platform [you’ve given], enabling us to share our talents not just in the entire Philippines but also around the world. I wish you all the best, I know you will be able to help more people,” Morissette shared as he expressed his thanks to Kuya Daniel.
Kuya Daniel, an award-winning media personality, is the man behind the groundbreaking projects of Wish 107.5, such as the Wish Bus and the Wish Music Awards. One of his more recent innovations is Wishcovery, which began airing last September.
