With music and charity in the spotlight, Wish 107.5 celebrated its 11th year on August 29, 2025, Friday, at Eton Centris Open Grounds.

A heavy afternoon downpour didn’t stop the revelry from taking place, as hundreds of Wishers and music fans flocked to the venue — all eager to witness performances from talented OPM acts.

From IV of Spades’ surprise Wish comeback to Rob Deniel, Angela Ken, and Dilaw debuting unreleased tracks — and seven beneficiaries receiving Php100,000 each — here are the 11 standout moments from the event.

Rob Deniel serenaded the crowd from the Wish Bus and Stopover stage

Rob Deniel, who has been making the rounds online with his Ogie Alcasid tribute at the 10th Wish Music Awards, opened the night with a Wish Bus performance of the soon-to-be-released “Kalawakan.”

‘Yung song na ‘yun is about a friends-to-lovers relationship or ‘yung mga mixed signals. I wrote it with a few people, isa na don si Amiel Sol. I’m really proud of that song so sana magustuhan ng mga tao,” the singer-songwriter shared in an interview with Wish 107.5.

After singing the track on the bus, Deniel made his Stopover Sessions debut, serenading the crowd with “Happy Ending” and one of his signature hits, “Miss Miss.” The Wish Stopover Sessions is a new video series, featuring acts performing on a makeshift stage mounted right outside the Wish Bus.

Angela Ken showcased versatile vocals in a concert-like Stopover debut

Promising hitmaker Angela Ken proved she’s one of the most exciting young acts to watch out for in her first-ever Stopover stint. With versatile vocals and an undeniable stage presence to boot, she performed new songs including “Kulimlim” and “Pwede Bang Mamaya?”

She also debuted a still-unreleased track called “Baka Bukas.” The singer-songwriter ended her set with a powerful performance of “Ako Naman Muna,” a modern classic about loving yourself.

G22 and KAIA represented P-pop, bringing their own brand of power to the show

P-pop fans were in for a treat last Friday night, as G22 and KAIA got featured on the Stopover Sessions.

P-pop quintet KAIA, clad in striking purple ensembles, performed the Zack Tabudlo-produced track, “TANGA.” They also dished out the catchy pop tune “Walang Biruan.” Prior to their Stopover performance, they also boarded the Wish Bus to perform their song "YOU DID IT."

In contrast to KAIA’s lighthearted vibe, G22 leaned into its fiercer side. The trio commanded the stage and earned cheers from the crowd as they performed “Pa-Pa-Pa-Palaban” and “Filipina Queen.”

Dilaw and Lola Amour performed hits along with songs from their latest albums

Dilaw and Lola Amour — two of the country’s most sought-after bands today — delivered stunning back-to-back sets showcasing their artistry.

Dilaw brought to the stage two tracks from their upcoming debut full-length album, “RARARA,” due for unveiling on September 5. The first one, “Black N’ White,” was recently premiered, while the groovy “All In” remains unreleased.

Lola Amour also delivered new tracks off their latest effort, “Love on Loop,” performing the titular track and a schmaltzy tune, “With You,” aboard the Wish Bus. They also jammed out to their hits “Fallen” and “Raining in Manila” for their stint on the Stopover Sessions.

IV of Spades returned to Wish 107.5 as a surprise anniversary guest

In the days leading up to the event, Wish 107.5 announced that its line-up of performers would include a surprise guest. Based on hints dropped by the radio station, fans already had a strong feeling who it would be — and it was only a matter of seeing it unfold before their eyes.

True enough, several fans of the band attended the event and watched the recently reunited four-piece rock act make their Wish 107.5 comeback. The band appeared on the Wish Bus before heading toward the stage.

IV of Spades first boarded the Wish Bus back in 2017 and have since performed many Wishclusive renditions of their hits. In 2018, vocalist Unique Salonga departed the band, and in 2020, the then-three-piece act announced their indefinite hiatus.

IV of Spades announced their upcoming sophomore album, “Andalucia”

After their performance, the band — through a teaser shown on an LED screen — announced that they will release a brand-new album on November 5.

In July this year, they dropped a new track called “Aura,” signalling their return as a four-member band. They followed it up with the more uptempo “Nanaman,” harking back to their earlier sound. They performed these two tracks for their Stopover Sessions.

The Stopover Lounge put the spotlight on artists’ Wish experience

Beyond the happenings on the Wish Bus and Stopover stage, the 11th anniversary celebration also hosted backstage interviews dubbed “The Stopover Lounge.” In these interviews, the guest artists recalled their best memories with Wish 107.5.

Angela Ken recalled her first-ever Wish Bus gig, where she performed “Ako Naman Muna.” “As in nanginginig po ako sa kaba non. Tapos parang ‘Lord, thank you po nandito na ako sa Wish, napapanood ko lang po ito sa YouTube’,” she quipped.

Meanwhile, Lola Amour recounted a Wish Bus guesting they had during the pandemic. Observing proper social distancing at the time, the seven-piece band performed across two buses.

For Dilaw, winning the Rock/Alternative Song of the Year for “Orasa” at the 9th Wish Music Awards was one of their fondest Wish memories.

The crowd members themselves showed off their vocal talents — and took home exclusive merch

In between the performances, DJ Ray Holiday (Morning Wish) roamed around the area to host a giveaway, with a Wish commemorative shirt as a prize. One of the mechanics is for the audience to share their favorite Wishclusives and sing a sample.

Wishers gamely participated, showing off their vocal talents and confidence.

Though Rob Deniel’s rendition of “Ikaw Sana” and “Nandito Ako” was a clear crowd favorite, this segment saw participants sing a wide range of songs, including Cup of Joe’s “Multo,” Maki’s “Dilaw,” TONEEJAY’s “Bawat Piyesa (Secret Verse Ver.), JMara’s “Mahal Kong Pilipinas,” and Gigi De Lana’s “Sarhan.”

Wishers took to social media to share their fave Wishclusives as well

Online, Wishers have also joined the celebration by sharing their Wishclusives of all time using the hashtag #11thWishAnniversary.

“It has to be the entire SB19 promo set for [Simula at Wakas]. I mean, first time for a performance outside the bus? And the vocals for Dam, Time, and Dungka. Angas! This set is on repeat on my playlist! Plus that audience!,” a user with X handle @SamutSaringEwan shared.

Meanwhile, X user @Kae_seolin2 shared IV of Spades’ “Mundo” performance at the 4th Wish Music Awards and SB19’s “Dungka” Stopover Sessions, with this caption: “My Spader and A’TIN heart. Both groups SB19 and IVOS are unforgettable artists that I love.”

Wish Jocks shared candid moments on- and off-stage

DJ Ray Holiday, DJ Faye (The Wish List), and DJ Adam (The Roadshow) hosted last Friday’s event. Apart from their playful banter on stage, they also gave fans a glimpse of behind-the-scenes fun — take their mirror selfie and Stopover Lounge mini-photo shoot as proof.
