OPM continues to thrive, thanks to the artists and music-makers who keep creating songs that listeners can relate to. In fact, local music now makes up about 75% of the songs on Spotify Philippines’ Top 50 chart.

Celebrating the people who champion OPM in the Philippines and beyond, Dangal ng Musikang Pilipino 2026 took place on October 14 at Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Quezon City.

The event, presented by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry (PARI) and Go Live Asia, honored Ogie Alcasid, Gary Valenciano, Jose Mari Chan, BINI, SB19, Cup of Joe, Angelo “Angee” Rozul, and Antonio M. Ocampo.
