Janine Berdin has hit a new career milestone after her Wish Bus performance of “What if I miss you for the rest of my life?” has gone viral, gaining attention from international and local artists alike.

American pop superstar Demi Lovato dropped a comment on Janine's Instagram reel of the performance, “Holy sh**.” The reel spotlighted the bridge of the song, whose live iteration features a raw vocal scream not found in the recorded version.

An evidently surprised and delighted Janine responded, “HELLO ????? … I SING AND WRITE BECAUSE I GREW UP WANTING TO BE JUST LIKE YOU. I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU HEARD ME SING IN THIS LIFETIME.”

"Salamat kaayo madam (Thank you so much, madam)," she wrote to close out her reply.

Fifth Harmony's Lauren Jauregui and Canadian singer-songwriter Jessie Reyez also chimed in on the comments, with Lauren saying “Siiiiing” and Jessie dropping a "Vocal control" alongside a clapping emoji.

Local musicians and social media sensations, including Rico Blanco, Chito Miranda, Kyla, Alexa Ilacad, Niana Guerrero, David Guison, and Eri Neeman, have also sung the Cebu-born act's praises.

On TikTok, Grammy-winning rapper Doechii reposted Janine’s snippet of the viral Wish Bus performance. Meanwhile, Grammy-nominated R&B musician Eric Benét recognized her “real, passionate, non-computerized singing.”

A certified hit, the video and its snippets across Wish 107.5’s and Janine’s social media platforms have since collectively racked up over 40 million views.

As a show of gratitude, Janine took to her Instagram Stories to share a screenshot of the song's streaming spike — a 158% jump in listenership and a 197% surge in streams. "I am sooo grateful, and so so inspired/ i have so many music to share :(( pls stick around more," she wrote.

Janine also shared that global hitmaker SZA also started following her on Instagram.

“What if I miss you for the rest of my life?” is part of Janine’s debut album “LAB SONGS NG MGA TANGA,” under Island Records Philippines. Stream the song here.
