With multiple hits under his belt, there’s no denying that Maki is one of this generation’s brightest stars. And when he celebrated the release of his debut full-length album at his recently sold-out concert, “KOLORCOASTER,” the experience felt nothing short of a spectacular, wish-come-true moment.

"Remember, your dreams are not written in the stars; it is written in your heart," Maki expressed.

Maki opened the night with his hits, “kahel na langit,” “Kailan?”, “Kurba,” “Bughaw,” “Bakit?”, “Nangungulila,” “turning green,” and “Namumula” — fittingly aided by tastefully curated vibrant visuals.

He was then joined by pop-rock royalty Yeng Constantino on stage, and they performed the latter’s 2000s hit, “Cool Off.” Yeng also delivered a solo performance of another signature track, “Siguro.”

The singer-songwriter treated the crowd to a saccharine tune, “INDIGO (with u),” and dished out heartwarming renditions of “itim na ulap” and “Para Sa Buwan.”

Jolianne — a name to watch for in the scene — later took the stage to perform her latest musical offering, “Palayo Sa Mundo,” with the man of the hour. The song was originally recorded with Arthur Nery.

Proving to be a night of incredible duets, Maki next shared the stage with Angela Ken, performing their collaborative song, “Sikulo.” Angela also captivated the audience when she performed her latest song, “Pwede Bang Mamaya?”.

In one of the highlights of the show, a visibly emotional Maki looked back on the inception of his first-ever album, “KOLORCOASTER.”

“Itong album na ito, it’s well-thought-out. Super in-effortan ng team ko, ng sarili ko. Halos ‘di na kami natutulog. I’m just really glad that people like you, guys, appreciate art like this. Without you, guys, ‘di ako uusbong sa OPM,” the 25-year-old act remarked.

The momentum went on as Maki sang the remaining tracks from the said record. This part of the show featured his performances of “Saan?”, “Abelyana,” “ROYGBIV,” and one of the most awaited tracks of the night, “Dilaw,” featuring Maloi of the P-pop group BINI. Maloi starred in the song’s music video.

Concluding the colorful night on a high note, Maki said, “Maraming, maraming salamat po for riding this KOLORCOASTER with me.”
