On Sunday, April 12, 2026, Wish 107.5 and KDR Music House mounted the 20th edition of Wish Date at the Mall of Asia Arena. Titled “Wish Date: Rewrite,” the concert series was top-billed by OPM legends Apo Hiking Society.

Bringing their classics for the first time to the Wish Date stage, Boboy Garrovillo and Jim Paredes sang anthems like “Kabilugan ng Buwan,” “Blue Jeans,” “Show Me A Smile,” and “Pumapatak Na Naman Ang Ulan/ Mahirap Magmahal Ng Syota Ng Iba Medley.”

They also dished out crowd favorites, including “Ewan,” Paano?,” “Awit ng Barkada,” and “Tuyo Na’ng Damdamin.” The evening wasn’t complete without them singing two of their biggest songs, “Panalangin” and “When I Met You."

Last Sunday’s concert also saw the Wish Date return of Over October. Proving they’re one of today’s most sought-after bands, the quintet delivered songs that evoked intense emotions from the audience.

They performed “Wait,” “Sandali Lang,” “123”, “Dahan,” “Kaakit-akit,” and their most recognized hit to date — “Ikot.”

Aquila Packing, another artist who made a Wish Date comeback, brought her pristine voice to the fore and treated the audience to memorable revivals.

The Baguio-based singer-multi-instrumentalist performed The Eraserheads’ “Alapaap,” Kuh Ledesma’s “I Think I’m in Love,” Ben&Ben’s “Lifetime (Reimagined),” Five for Fighting’s “100 Years,” and Christina Perri’s “A Thousand Years.”

Wish Date, known for blending music and cinema, also featured a film that served as the anchor of the whole experience. “Rewrite,” the film was a sequel to “Love Tales” and starred ViVoree, Joao Constancia, Lienel Navidad, and Shaun Salvador, with special participation from Susan Africa.

A story centering on regrets, second chances, and the sacrifice that comes with loving, it gave the audience several lessons to ponder.

Apart from the film screening itself, Wish Date also had live-acting stints from ViVoree and Joao Constancia — and a live song performance from the former, featuring the theme song “My Heart Promises.”

Wish Date: Rewrite was co-presented by Yakult, together with major sponsor Vaseline and minor sponsors AlcoPlus, Empress Shampoo, and Keratin Plus.

Stay tuned for video performances from the event on the Wish YouTube channel.
