There’s something uniquely appealing about songs that shift between two languages. And that charm is exactly what makes “Wala Nang Iba (Nobody)” by Yvng Jin such an easy track to indulge in.

According to the Filipino-American act, the song “explores the feeling of finding somebody that nobody else you know compares to.”

Originally released as an English-language single called “Nobody,” the song recently got a Taglish twist as part of his album, “4EVER YVNG.” The 15-track album showcases the rising artist’s ability to blend melodic R&B with hip-hop influences.

For Jin, releasing this version of the song is a way of embracing his Filipino roots. Based in Las Vegas, Nevada, the 20-year-old singer, songwriter, and producer started making music in the 7th grade.

“Music’s always been a part of my life. I fell in love with it [quickly],” he shared in a press release.

His album was released under the global music label powerhouse EMPIRE. And getting signed by the said label at a young age is one of the milestones he is thankful for.

“People work tirelessly and dream of being signed to a label like EMPIRE, and here I am at 20 (already) having reached that goal,” he remarked.

As for what’s next for him, Jin said he is looking forward to visiting the Philippines and releasing his next album.
