Calling all anime music lovers!

ANISAMA, the world’s biggest Japanese anime music festival, is finally coming to the Philippines for the first time. The star-studded event will take place on June 7, 2025 Saturday at the Araneta Coliseum, gathering some of the biggest names in the scene. The roster includes FLOW, ASH DA HERO, Ave Mujica, nobodyknows+, HIROSHI KITADANI, TOSHIYA MIYATA, MindaRyn, and Mayu Maeshima.

Flow is a Japanese rock band famous for their songs “GO!!!,” which served as an opening theme for NARUTO, and “COLORS,” the opening theme for CODE GEASS Lelouch of Rebellion.

ASH DA HERO, on the other hand, is the Japanese rock outfit behind some notable theme songs from the soccer anime Blue Lock. They performed the show’s second opening theme, “Judgement,” and “Beast Mode / Octave” from the movie Blue Lock: Nagi.

Also included in the lineup is Ave Mujica, the girl band from BanG Dream! Series. nobodyknows+, a renowned Japanese hip-hop group, is also slated to bring some of their biggest hits to the Philippine stage, including “Hero’s Come Back!!” (opening theme for NARUTO: Shippuden) and “Kokoro Odoru” (from SD Gundam Force).

ONE PIECE fans are also in for a nostalgic trip down memory lane, as Hiroshi Kitadani, a seasoned Japanese vocalist and JAM Project member, is expected to perform “We Are!,” the first opening theme for the said hit anime.

Completing the roster are Toshiya Miyata, MindaRyn, and Mayu Maeshima.

Miyata is a Japanese singer, actor, and a member of the popular boy group Kis-My-Ft2.  MindaRyn is a  Thai anisong singer and the voice behind several memorable theme songs, including “Like Flames” for That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime and “Blue Rose Notes” for By the Grace of the Gods.

Meanwhile, Maeshima is the former lead vocalist of the pop-rock band MYTH & ROID. She also lent her voice for “Styx Helix,” the first ending theme of Re: Zero – Starting Life in Another World.

ANISMA is short for Animelo Summer Live. Held every summer since 2005 in Japan, it has become the biggest annual anime music festival in the world. This 2025, the event commemorates its 20th year, bringing the celebration to the Philippines.
