Ben&Ben Release Anthology Album ‘Nine’

Ben&Ben have given us some of the most memorable OPM anthems in the past decade, and what better way to celebrate nine years of being a band than with an anthology album?

Folk-pop collective Ben&Ben recently released “Nine,” in which they honor nearly a decade of music, memory, and becoming. The record brings together a collection of reimagined favorites and the new song “Harinawa.”

Consider “Nine” a musical time capsule. Because rather than a straightforward retrospective effort, it’s a collection that captures where the band has been, who they have become, and what they are still becoming. 

The anthology album includes new versions of “Ride Home,” “Maybe The Night,” “Autumn,” and “Doors.” It also features reimagined iterations of “Sunrise,” “Lifetime,” and “Leaves.” 

Ben&Ben reimagined these tracks from the vantage point of who they are as musicians in 2026. And the arrangements reflect a band that has spent years performing together, while the instrumentation and production let familiar melodies move in new ways.

The record closes with “Saranggola,” a Wish Award-winning song about friendship, and “Harinawa,” a brand-new track that serves as the link to whatever lies beyond them.

“The influences and inspiration we truly channeled in producing ‘Nine’ were literally our nine years of experience in doing what we do — from our live show moments on stage and with Liwanag [their fandom’s name], to the close relationships we’ve built with each other in the band,” said lead guitarist and backing vocalist Poch Barretto in a press release.

“We really wanted to bring our live music experience and musical chemistry into the studio. It was a fun challenge for us to balance the energy of what we play live with the refinements of a studio recording,” he added.
