IN PHOTOS: Dionela Holds 'The Grace' Concert

Fresh from his concerts in the U.S. and Canada, Dionela brought his “The Grace” tour to the New Frontier Theater on Friday, November 21. The event was part of a two-night show for the Philippine stop of his tour. 

The “Marilag” hitmaker and 11th Wish Music Awards nominee went beyond delivering a night of soul-stirring music. Apart from performing many crowd favorites like “Okishina,” “Musika,” and “Langit,” he also brought out collaborators like Loonie for “Ikigai,” Alysson Shore for “Hoodie,” JRoa for “Marilag,” and Kyla for “sining” (a song he originally recorded with Jay R). 

Dionela also put worship to the fore as he sang praise songs, such as “How Great Is Our God,” alongside JRoa, Project: Romeo, and a choir. 

Another highlight of the night was when he performed a part of “Bahaghari” and proposed to Meizy Mendoza, the song’s muse and now his fiancée. 

During this unforgettable part, Dionela recounted how Meizy has been a source of strength. “Naalala ko na ikaw ang kasama ko noong binenta ko ang gitara ko at gusto ko nang mag-quit. Iyak tayong dalawa n’un... Nandito na tayo sa New Frontier, ang daming tao. Sinamahan mo ko mula simula hanggang ngayon. Gusto ko sana samahan mo ko habang buhay,” he stated.
