Carrying a distinctive voice that defined an era, Kitchie Nadal stirred the hearts of fans — both the young and the young-at-heart — as she staged her first-ever solo show at the Araneta Coliseum. The concert, fittingly called “New Ground,” cemented her legacy as one of Pinoy rock’s most iconic female figures while captivating a new generation of listeners.

Nadal brought her timeless hits, such as “Malaya,” “Isang Araw,” “Run,” and “Breathe.” Adding to the evening’s excitement, she also delighted the audience with her renditions of Eraserheads' “Ligaya” and Rivermaya's “214.”

The concert was also a star-studded one, as top-notch OPM acts graced the Big Dome stage — with Zild Benitez kicking off a night of collaborations on a stellar note. Benitez shared a duet with Nadal for his hit “Kyusi” and the latter’s “Fire.”

Meanwhile, Skusta Clee teamed up with the “Same Ground” hitmaker for a collaborative performance of the rapper’s latest hit, “Kalimutan Ka.”

Adding a different flavor to the night, P-pop act KAIA also performed with Nadal, delivering a medley of beloved OPM classics. Nostalgia was even more amplified as Barbie Almalbis — a fellow OPM rock icon — took the stage to join the woman of the hour for solid renditions of “Torpe” and “Iniibig Kita.”

Almalbis and Nadal, whose friendship spans decades, previously performed alongside other Pinay rock vocalists in the sold-out concert, “Tanaw.”

Later in the evening, Arthur Nery appeared as a surprise guest. Nery and Nadal performed a touching duet of the love anthem, “Maging Sino Ka Man.”

Perhaps the most-awaited part of the concert, Nadal delivered her signature medley, prompting an enthusiastic crowd to sing along. She capped off the night with “Huwag Na Huwag Mong Sasabihin," "Same Ground," and "Bulong” — with the voices of the audience echoing across the Big Dome.
