On August 29, about 4,000 audience members witnessed stunning performances on board the Wish Bus and the Stopover stage at Eton Centris, Quezon City. These performances marked Wish 107.5’s 11th anniversary.

That same evening, seven beneficiaries were each granted ₱100,000 as part of Wish 107.5’s long-standing commitment to put music, charity, and hope in the spotlight. 

Healing starts together

Anyone can get ill at any moment in their life. This changes dreams and tests the strength of families and loved ones. But behind every diagnosis lies one’s strength to carry on, calling for compassionate hearts to ease the weighing burden. 

These are the stories of patients and loved ones who continue the fight, with the support of people who believe that healing starts together.

Heal to inspire

Margarita Tomenio Jerusalem, 27 years old, was just on her journey as an educator when she got diagnosed with lupus nephritis in January 2024. Her mother, a clinic cashier, works relentlessly to sustain Margarita’s medications and biweekly lab tests. But the family cannot afford a kidney biopsy to prevent her condition from worsening into kidney failure.

Margarita’s greatest hope is simple: to return to teaching once her health is stable. Her fight reflects a story of one who refuses to let illness cut their future short. 

Survival meant sacrifice

Regine Faye C. Sonajo, 27, from Ilocos Norte, was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease Stage 5 and underwent a transplant last August 2024. Her husband was her donor. 

Now, her life depends on continuous treatment. Every month, she travels to Manila for monitoring at the National Kidney and Transplant Institute.

Her story mirrors what one can do for love, and that healing is possible when essential care remains accessible.

Strength to live

At only 15, Arman Rico Toscano Angana of Caloocan City faces acute myeloid leukemia. His treatments involve chemotherapy, tests, and procedures at the Philippine Children’s Medical Center. And with the family surviving on a measly monthly salary, the expenses are unbearable. 

Yet Arman, despite all, continues to endure each session, holding on to his dream of recovery. His story reminds us that even in sickness, there is strength that we can hold onto to help us get through.

Passing the test 

John Lloyd Santos Nones, 22, should have been focused on completing his final year in college. Instead, he battles with Stage 4 Classic Hodgkin Lymphoma. His treatment plan includes 12 chemotherapy sessions and a PET CT scan. His family survives with only a modest monthly income, which makes this burden impossible to carry alone. 

John Lloyd is determined to finish school, continuing his studies in between treatments. His courage proves that resilience gets us through life’s toughest battles.

Fragile but hopeful

On June 1, 2025, Jewel Pantaleon Castro was born prematurely at 26 weeks. She remained in an incubator for over two months at Healthway Hospital Fairview, while her twin passed away three days after birth. Though she was discharged on August 20, her family was left with a huge sum of hospital bill. With only her father’s income to rely on, the weight of this debt is crushing. 

Jewel is living proof of life’s miracles, fragile yet full of hope. Her survival represents the power of resilience, even in our little ones.

Resilience in youth

Three-year-old Matheo Cullen Victoria Luis from Bulacan was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia last March 2025 and was advised to undergo chemotherapy. His father was unable to work as a waiter due to alternating hospital duties. The family income has ceased, and they now rely on their grandparents’ limited help while caring for three young children. 

Young Matheo reminds us that no illness should ever take away the laughter, play, and milestones from any children, especially one whose battles are yet to be fought.  

Saving one’s heart

Five-year-old Saih Ramirez Quindoza from Lucena City was born with a congenital heart condition. Her ventricular septal defect (a hole in the heart) requires her to undergo immediate surgery at the Philippine Heart Center. 

While they have raised and secured a fraction of the needed amount, they still face a huge gap that remains to be fulfilled. Saih’s father takes on irregular jobs while her mother sells online. Both her parents have to keep up with the overwhelming expenses. 

Her story embodies a heart that beats for every Filipino, one of compassion and of bayanihan.

A collaborative effort

These stories are worlds apart, yet they speak of one truth: No one should ever face illness on their own. Margarita, Regine, Arman, John Lloyd, Jewel, Matheo, and Saih are more than just patients. They are dreams, families, and futures waiting to be saved by the kindhearted ones.
