On the sidelines of the YouTube Works Awards Philippines and Southeast Asia 2025, Wish 107.5 joined a panel discussion about mainstream media’s pivot to digital platforms like YouTube. The event was held on Tuesday, October 7, at the Marquis Events Place, BGC.
Jay Eusebio, General Manager, represented the FM radio station, while veteran journalist Karen Davila served as the moderator. Also included in the panel is Elaine Uy, Head of Digital Services at ABS-CBN Corporation.

Speaking at the panel discussion, Eusebio recounted how vital YouTube has been in transforming the station into a digital powerhouse showcasing music.
“The pivot to YouTube is much easier for radio. As a radio station, you can only reach what your signal can reach. We’re only present in Mega Manila as a radio station. And, hence, when we took over the operations of Wish 107.5, we needed to really plan how to reach the entire nation. And there and behold, there’s YouTube. It was a very easy decision for us; all we needed to do was plan for our content that would be interesting for the viewers,” Eusebio shared during the panel discussion.
As of writing, Wish 107.5’s YouTube channel has about 15.7 million subscribers and over 2,500 videos — most of which were performances recorded inside the Wish Bus.
“It’s the Wish Bus that took us to where we are today. It was a ridiculous idea at the time because they did not believe we won’t be able to produce good content when artists are singing inside the Wish Bus. We were very lucky to be able to produce content that’s of high quality. And thanks to the artists as well for being willing to board and perform on the bus,” he further remarked, while also thanking YouTube for giving the brand a platform to offer good music content.

As highlighted at the event, YouTube remains the new TV in the country. According to a 2025 Kantar survey, 90% of Filipino viewers consider YouTube creators and content the most trustworthy, exceeding the 77% average trust level across Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Emphasizing the platform’s wide reach, the study also shows that 88% of Filipinos in rural Visayas and Mindanao watch YouTube content daily.
During the event, OPM acts Lola Amour and G22 also performed and showcased their music before an audience that included creative and advertising figures from the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Singapore.
