Wish Date: Rewrite Brings its Immersive Concert Experience to Dagupan

After a successful show at the Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena earlier in April, Wish Date: Rewrite is heading north.

Wish Date: Rewrite, the 20th installment of the music-and-film concert series by Wish 107.5 and KDR Music House, will have a special run on May 31, 2026, at CSI Stadia Dagupan. The show will bring the same powerhouse lineup of musical guests — including Apo Hiking Society, Over October, and Aquila Packing — to the city. 

Apart from the artists’ performances, the event will screen the short film “Rewrite,” which stars Vivoree and Joao Constancia, alongside Lienel Navidad, Shaun Salvador, and Ms. Susan Africa.

For Jim Paredes of the Apo Hiking Society, Wish Date’s format is a refreshing break from the conventional concert experience. 

“It’s a type of show that we’ve never done before, na merong [film] component, merong live drama, tapos kakanta kami,” the singer-songwriter said in an interview with UNTV News. “Parang, we have a song for every theme, eh. So I felt na somehow nagko-connect sila.”

His bandmate and fellow OPM icon Buboy Garrovillo echoed the same sentiment, “Naisip lang namin na talagang pinapatotoo [ng Wish Date ‘yung timelessness ng] lahat ng nagawa naming kanta.”

During the initial run of Wish Date: Rewrite at MOA Arena, the OPM legends took the audience on a trip down memory lane with their performances of “Panalangin,” “When I Met You,” “Ewan,” “Awit ng Barkada,” and “Blue Jeans,” among many other classics.

Meanwhile, Josh Buizon, vocalist of the band Over October, shared that “it’s always a pleasure playing for Wish Date.” “Rewrite” served as their third Wish Date stint.

“It’s such an experience even for us [because] we get to appreciate our songs more… The visuals and the story, the narrative and the reactions of the people — iba talaga ‘yung experience,” he added.
