Rising KDR Music House artist Nanao has returned with a new song called “O.N. I Love You.” And it captures the longing that comes with loving someone from a distance — literally speaking.

The “O.N.” in the title means “Overseas Nanao.”

As a whole, the track speaks to the shared experience of being far from loved ones. Whether that situation is due to circumstance or someone’s pursuit of their dreams, the yearning remains the same.

Nanao’s “O.N. I Love You” is her second JP-POP single, following the release of “Pito Pito” earlier in June. Sonically, it continues to blend J-pop and anime-inspired elements while using Tagalog lyrics.

But what sets this new song apart is that its lyrics are written entirely in Tagalog (for context, “Pito Pito” features an uber-catchy Japanese-language hook “Na na na na Nanao! Ka ka ka ka Kawaii! Honto ni honto ni Kawaii jan!).

This only proves the Japanese act’s drive to redefine pop and introduce the JP-POP sub-genre.

If you’re looking for a refreshing tune that travels far beyond borders, give “O.N. I Love You” a listen. Stream here:
