Olangapo-hailing band SunKissed Lola is back with their latest single, “Edi Magalit Ka.” It’s a track that teaches a lesson or two on what it takes to save a relationship over an argument: patience and understanding.

The song was inspired by the Tagalog expression, “edi magalit ka,” which people often use to easily escape a quarrel that’s often difficult to resolve. Three weighty words that can hit the recipient’s emotional core.

Tapos tinulungan ako ni Alvin na ibalanse lang,” vocalist Dan Ombao revealed, as he narrated the songwriting process behind the tune.

“It’s a song about relationships,” vocalist Laura Lacbain added.

The OPM outfit, known for hits like “Pasilyo” and “Paki Sabi,” is celebrating their fifth anniversary. During their recent Wish Bus stint, Dan shared how it still feels surreal how they can touch people’s lives through their songs.

“Sa mga hindi nakakaalam, magpa-five years na ‘yung SunKissed Lola this year. Ang bilis for us.

Masaya kami na naging part kami ng buhay nila,” he said.
