XONARA continues to etch their mark on the music scene. And in their new single, the septet is fiercer than ever.
“PULA” signals the arrival of the P-pop group’s new era. The title is a play on the Filipino word for “red” and the phrase “pull up,” and it’s a clever way to introduce their more confident image — much like how their group name is itself a pun on “sonar,” “Tandang Sora,” and “narra.”
“‘PULA’ is very much about the blood, sweat, and tears we’ve shed together as XONARA. It totally wasn’t an easy ride. That’s why there’s a metaphor of a car [in the music video],” Megumi said in an interview with Wish 107.5.
“[The red car] represents everything that we’ve built together. [W]e had to go through trials and tribulations to be able to get to where we are today, and the MV is a good demonstration of how we coped with it together,” she added.
The group, along with fellow 1Z Entertainment artists Stell and J2X, made their Wish Bus comeback on August 31, 2026. A crowd of 1,100 flocked to Ayala Malls Arca South to watch the artists’ recent Wish Bus stints live.
Inspired by each other’s passion

While the “PULA” marks a bolder direction for XONARA, it remains faithful to what ties them together since their trainee days: passion.
“Actually, ‘yung one thing na nag-i-inspire po sa’min is ‘yung isa’t isa, at siguro ‘yung passion na meron kami na mag-perform, mag-create ng art, and siyempre, mag-connect po sa mga tao. Kasi ‘yun naman ‘yung purpose namin… na makapag-share ng stories namin,” Eurekah told Wish 107.5.
When asked about their individuality as a group, Dominique talked about how the members have different backgrounds — and how that solidifies their goal of being a true representation of Filipinas.
“We all came from different walks of life, so we have different upbringings. We all have different perspectives on how we see life. So, for example, there’s a very girly-girl like Ella, and we have Eurekah with the pixie hair, very androgynous. So we would love to represent each Filipina and make everyone [feel] seen and heard,” she stated.
After their “Pula Pit Stops,” a series of events in support of their latest offering, XONARA is set to release a “Pula” game and line of merchandise.
XONARA, the first girl group under 1Z Entertainment, comprises Eurekah, Tin, Megumi, Dominique, Lei, Ella, and Namie.
